The H2O conference, in partnership with Invest Nova Scotia, is pleased to provide various tour options for our out of province/international delegates. There is no cost to attend these tours but space is limited. Make your tour selection when you register for the H2O conference.
Thursday, June 15, 2023:
Halifax Area
Ocean Research Tour
Site tours of Dalhousie University Ocean Facilities including the Ocean Frontier Institute (OFI), and the Bedford Institute of Oceanography (BIO).
This full day tour includes lunch and transportation from downtown Halifax.
Nova Scotia South Shore
Company Tour
Site tours of two Nova Scotia companies based along the south shore: Hawboldt Industries – designers and builders of made-to-order deck equipment for the ocean science, workboat, oil & gas, national defense, and general shipbuilding industries; and ABCO Industries – provider of expertise and manufacturing Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USV).
This full day tour includes transportation from downtown Halifax, and lunch.

OceansAdvance will host delegates post H2O 2023 for a 2-day program in St. John’s and Holyrood, NL for site visits, B2B meetings, and networking opportunities, from June 15-16, 2023. Tour attendees are responsible for their own travel costs.
